Dear International Family, 🫶
Our next trip has arrived. The destination is the lovely, historical small town of Gyula.
The program:
🏰Discovering the medieval castle, where we can observe the blacksmith workshop, a falcon show and sabre fighting as well. The bravest can also visit the dungeons. From the tower, we’ll look around the whole town. If our information is correct, there will also be a market in the castle where you can stroll through the stalls and products of local vendors.
🏰Visiting the well preserved mansion of the Hungarian aristocratic Almássy family through a guided tour.
🍔Have lunch at the town’s famous hamburger place.
🍦But save space for some desert, as we’ll head to the 100 year old café, where you can try delicious ice cream and cakes.
🏘️We’ll finish the day by walking through the main street of the town.
🏛️If we still have the energy, we can go to an art gallery and the house where the composer of the Hungarian National Anthem, Erkel Ferenc lived.
