What is Busójárás?
Busójárás is a centuries-old tradition where locals don elaborate costumes and masks to ward off evil spirits and symbolize the triumph of spring over winter. The participants, known as "busó”-s, wear terrifyingly intricate wooden masks 👺 and fur-covered costumes , marching through the streets in an exhilarating parade. Throughout the event, you’ll witness the fascinating rituals, including the famous busó parade, fire-jumping ceremonies, 🔥 and a variety of folk performances. 💃🏼This is your chance to experience Hungarian culture in its most authentic and lively form!
